Family Wall

Just wanted ya all to see one of my most priced possessions...of late.

 

Took the door off of our room and put it on the wall in the Family Room.

 

Alan and Dean attached it to studs and it isn't going anywhere.

 

We can even lift it up to put pictures behind it.

 

Just noticed that the curtain and sun shining in behind me is distorting the picture. ugh!

Red Pony

I have been doing a few home improvement project this summer. First on the list was the doors. So I still had a red can of paint from painting the front and back door. SO what to paint next?

I spotted this rocking horse that just had a light stain on it.

Perfect for my next project.

                                                             It gets Titan's approval.

At first I thought to myself. "Why do parents always have to squeeze their kids faces, poor guy."

Then I remembered, that Mallory was showing me Titan's first tooth. ha ha

FLU, FLU, I don't want to play with you!

While we were in Texas last weekend, we recieved a text from Brittany saying she was on her death bed. She claims it was worse then any pregnacy she has had so far. Which is pretty bad, cause her pregnacys have put her in the ER before to get hooked up to IV's for fluids.

Guilt sets in as I am too far away to help.

Then Alan gets it and has to fly home feeling awful.

Thank goodness for those handy little bags they provide.

So Thursday morning Jason and Andrea both come down with it BAD. So little Crew hung out with grandma and grandpa all day.

Then Thursday night @11:00 I hear a car in the yard. At first I thought Jason was heading out to get something. Then awhile later I hear the car again and text Jason to see if everything was OK.

Thank goodness for friends in high places and Big hearts.

His tennis buddy (AKA a Doctor) came over and hooked him up on an IV and instructed Andrea how to disconnect one bag to add another  etc.

House Calls...only in Utah!

Then Friday evening this is what I see when I go over to their place.

Yep that's an IV hanging from the lamp...his 3rd one to be exact.

Before and After pregnancy

It was Father's Day and Baby Crew's baby blessing day.

No picture of all the fathers that we celebrated with, but of course the girls found their way to the camera for a reminder of months gone by.

Here is the before picture they took back when 4 of the 5 were pregnant still.

Here they are now. Post pregnancy with their gifts from Heaven.

Don't ask ages, I just hope I spelled all their names right. The oldest is almost 1 year and the 2 youngest are 2 months. So that is an addition of 5 new grand babies in a year.

The eclipse

Sunday evening entertainment.

I tried to take a picture of the eclipse without really looking at it. As we were told NOT to look at the sun during this time. So I am looking from the corner of the roof of our house. Trying to block myself from the intensity of it all.

  Then Jason braved out from the roof to capture the next 2 shots. It almost hurts my eyes to look at these pictures.

 I hope we don't go blind!

  The news suggested taking a sheet of paper and poking a hole thru it to block the intensity. That didn't work very well. So we gathered 4 sunglasses and put them on top of each other and were able to see it really well.

  It was pretty amazing once you were able to look at it full on. A few bright rings of red around the area of the sun is what it looked like. Really Cool!

I couldn't help but wonder what the heck people were doing that were driving at this time. Especially if were driving right into the sun. No sun visor or even 1 pair of sunglasses would protect you from this. Crazy stuff! Something for the journal.

Friday entertainment

So I guess some of the sisters and children went to the splash pad today (hence, the skanky clothes covering the swimmer). Afterwards, they ended up at my house, and the two pregnant ones decided it would be fun to go off roading. Like Heather did in the golf cart with Brittany her last pregnancy. Which apparently made the difference for labor to start. Since the golf cart is on the blink, these crazy 2 jumped in the go cart AKA Jason's Ride.

Well it's not so funny now. Guess something happened on their ride cuz Jason's beauty was smoking and leaking antifreeze. They didn't dare alarm Jason, so they quickly asked Cameron to take a look at it. We all just assume Cameron can fix anything.

 Well when the ride didn't do the job, they proceeded to the back yard to continue the crazy ritual. They started with lunges. This was their first attempt at crazy entertainment for us all. I had to run in and grab my camera. So I missed the better shot. Oh, no worries, there is more...

Not sure what this position is called. But it was the first part of a 2 part something.

 Part 2, the leg lift.

  This looks more like a football maneuver to me. I think baby Claire is either confused or entertained.

 Oh, now they are just plain showing off!

I think the end result was total wipe out! They should sleep good tonight.

Spring Break

What I did on my Spring break so far...

Well at least on Tuesday.

14 bottles of chicken.

Brittany found some chicken on sale awhile ago and snatched it up and put it in my freezer, waiting for me to have some free time to do it. Oh, I mean to teach her how :)

too bad she showed up after I had finished.

 Tuesday was the day set aside for THE camp out.

Tin foil dinners, tents and sleeping bags.

The kids had a blast.

Brittany and her 4 kids and Tiffany and Cameron and their 4 kids were brave enough to set up tents and sleep over. The rest headed home due to work the next day :(

Andrea sold her beautiful Acura TL whatever the top of the line is called. You know the kind with the camera that shows you a picture of what is behind you?! That was Brittany's favorite thing :)

Anyway, She sold it and Jason bought this thing ($500) for him to go to and from work, so Andrea could drive his car. That's True Love!

 It was brand new the same year he was born and he Loves it!

My posterity... They can multiply.  The top pic is from Titan's baby blessing a few weeks ago, Mallory's attempt at getting all the cousins in a picture didn't turn out half bad! love this good looking bunch!

 This pic is all the "boys" one day at sunday dinner. We just need to get one of all the girls, but by then I am sure it will be out dated... Andy will be adding to the boys and Heather will be adding to the girls in just a few short months!

Each month we will spot light a long term food storage item and how to rotate it into our daily cooking and baking. Along with (hopefully) useful tips. Go ahead check it out. More to come each Monday (at least that is my overzealous goal for now).

Just grateful for ONE more day off of work. I love vacation time! Only 12 more working days until our next vacation time. Got to love having something to look forward to.
