Good Eats...and more

Apparently it's time to make another post. So I asked Heather if she thought it would be ok if I posted a dating survey or blind date offers, for Jason. Ok, I hear your Gasps. I know, I would be in so much trouble wouldn't I. So I wont ask if anyone out there knows any single (between 22 to 28 years old) cute, spiritual, Temple worthy, fun...unattached females. No I wont even ask. Cause I'm sure I would totally tick off my very good looking, successful, spiritual, Temple worthy, unattached son;)

So instead lets talk Food!

I brought a potato salad to a neighborhood BBQ last night and everyone raved about it. Imagine that. I was so proud of my (once around the kitchen) creation. So let me share.

I baked some potato's. Then peeled the skin off of them after they cooled enough. Then of course cut them up in chunks.
Then I got creative....

I added chopped boiled eggs
chopped up some cilantro
shook in some Real bacon bits from the bag
threw in a bunch of carrot matchsticks (from the produce section next to the baby carrots bags)
Then the secret ingredient...Pomegranates! Lots of them, for just the right crunch.

The dressing is also what makes it sooo good.
1 1/2 cups mayo 1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup vinegar
4 teaspoons ground mustard 1 teaspoon salt

It was really best warm I thought, or I was extremly hungry. You decide.

If you're not a potato salad fan, (Or vegetable fan, sorry J&J) here is one most any kid will like. What I like about it is that it is made mostly with items from your storage...I hope you all have storage. Or live close enough to your parents!

I found this one on allrecipes.com I love that site. That is also where I got the original Potato Salad recipe that I added my touch too.

Macaroni and Cheese

1 (16 oz) package macaroni
1 can condensed cheddar cheese soup
1 cup milk
1 pound shredded Colby cheese

Cook pasta for 8 to 10 minutes.
Then place maraconi in a casserole dish. Stir in cheese soup and milk until well combined. Sprinle with shredded Colby.
Bake 25 to 30 mintes, or until cheese is bubbly.

I never said it was fat free or anywhere near healthy. But it's easy don't you think. We thought it was palatable.

Linda I love your comment you left on my blog. I have to say that I didn't start the dinner ideas it was my aunt and her friend. I too love it and have yet to put my own post on there. Stacey
