So the goal of making bread and powdered milk has it's challenges. The girls have a major problem with the milk. They love milk, and are not fond of the powder. Even when I mix it half and half some refuse to drink it. Then the final straw was when we went shopping the other night and milk was $1.50 a gallon. I'm thinking the powder milk may cost more, I don't know. So I will keep it around and use it in cooking, but for now we are back to 1% while the price is down.
The bread making has it's challenges. It's called failure after failure. So I came home after work one day determined to make rolls. I started them around 5pm and took the last of them out of the oven at 1AM. On a school night!

They sat and did their job at rising, but when it came to forming them I struggled. The recipe said to roll them out and cut into pizza slice shapes and roll. You get the picture...but so much work. So I pulled out every cookie sheet and muffin tin I had and just started to make balls and put three in each muffin tin and bigger balls on the cookie sheets. This picture is showing off the too brown ones, not good.

I will do them again but with a better method of shaping them.
Definitely better success then the bread loafs. I did like the recipe though, so I may post that another time. It called for 15 eggs and lots of butter :) It was a huge recipe.

Wow! you are amazing!! Those rolls don't look too bad. Mmmm...I love homemade rolls and bread. My grandma makes homemade rolls all the time, and she does the triangle cutting and rolls them, they are always good!
I thought they were good, glad you decided to come back to the light and stick with the cows milk! :)
My mouth is watering just looking at them! They look delish. I can't believe you made that many, you do have a lot of mouths to feed though. I have no luck with bread either. I tried a few years ago and haven't gone back to it yet. I guess I need more practice.
Mmmmmmmm
