Sunday Morning

It's Sunday morning and I am sitting here trying to put the finishing touches on my Relief Society lesson that I need to give today. It is on a conference talk given by Elder Robert D. Hales titled "Becoming Provident Providers Temporally and Spiritually".

Last night was a good way to better prepare myself as I listened to the Relief Society broadcast.
Here is a thought: MIND THE GAP as sister Thompson reminded us about the "tube" in England and the space between the train and the platform. To mind the gap and to not get caught between it. Then went on to remind us about the gaps in our own lives.

What we KNOW verse What we actually DO.
Our goals verse what we actually accomplish.
Another thought: We need to do more then BELIEVE in Jesus Christ...as suggested, we ought to share our Testimonies, keep our covenants, and be an example of a Believer.
I am so grateful for a family who follows this plan daily. When situation arise within our family, I hear things like...
"I will watch your kids today..."
"Lets all go to the Temple Saturday morning for..."
"We need to have a family fast for..."
"Here are some groceries for your family that I picked up for you today."
"Let's all get together at mom and dad's and play games"
"It's my turn for the FHE lesson and this is what I want to do..."
"Lets take turns reading some stories from the Ensign together"
Many mass text's sent out often... Support at sacrament meetings when a child is being blessed or someone is speaking.
Request to gather often. Especially for the purpose to learn a skill. Homemaking or preparedness.
(these and other things are actual phrases voiced by my children at one time or another)
You can see by this short list why I am so grateful for the family I have. They are quick learners, who have caught on fast to the purpose of life. They have followed the examples of earlier family members who have shown the way.
We Pray together, Play together attend the Temple together, celebrate together and at times cry together. But always look to the Lord in All things. We can never go wrong when He is our constant guide. So Glad we choose to be with each other for Eternity.
As Corben would say, "Love you all Eternity".
One day he came up to Alan and I and said "I want to tell you how much I love you. Then he paused and said "Eternity" (Because that is the biggest number of all. Eternity!)
I believe in Christ-my Lord, my God! My feet he plants on gospel sod. I'll worship him with all my might; He is the source of truth and light.
