So, Heather and I were having some fun my last day of Spring Break. I was amazed at how good they looked. In fact they almost looked too good to eat...ALMOST.
I don't know if you notice but there are two missing... Heather and I tried our work. It tasted as good as they looked!
I used some Ghirardelli Chocolate baking chips (bittersweet). A hand full of semi sweet chocolate chips and a small amount of shortening. Maybe a teaspoon. Melted it in the microwave and kept stirring in between every 30 seconds or so. I read somewhere to add shortening. I'm not sure what it does, but maybe that is why it looks so smooth and flawless?

We can't wait to do it again. Next time we want to make sure we have some white chocolate on hand to drizzle over them. The key to perfection I learned on TV is to scrap the strawberry against the bowl before you lay it down. It made it nice that way. As you can see I got a little lazy a couple of times. The 4th and 5th from the bottom puddled over because I didn't scrap it on the bowl.
FUN, will definitely do it again real soon.
